Marburger Haus, Kleinwalsertal

SPP1738 2016 Retreat group
In mid January 2016, 38 members of the SPP1738 met in the snowy Austrian valley to present recent developments in the brain non-coding RNA research. Topics ranged from basic molecular mechanisms of non-coding RNA, their function in neuronal and glial development all the way to their relevance in neurological diseases, such as schizophrenia and Alzheimer. Besides intense scientific discussions, the four day retreat offered ample opportunities for socializing and outdoor activities. A repeat is planned at the same location in Winter 2017.
